Collage
This collage is about my future goals. My project shows a couple of friends sitting by a road surrounded by books and art materials. The city is representing my want to travel to the city, I've always felt like being in the city felt better than being anywhere else. The people on the grass depict the friends I have and want to hang out with so I always have someone to depend on. The books and art sketchbook means that I want to get better at studying and drawing/painting. For this project, I cut and glued yarn and paper.

I really love how you used yarn for the majority of this piece, I feel like it is most helpful for the grass texture! I love how easily your message is displayed.

ReplyDeleteI love the city landscape and how you added depth to it. I know you're probably not done so consider doing something cool with the road with different textures.

ReplyDeleteThe first thing I noticed was the simplicity of your collage, but that's a good thing. You have chosen an excellent composition with the depth of the road and the city featured. A powerful element I find is the yarn used to build major components to the scene. Additionally, the friends, books, and art material feel very personal and are cool in the mix. I wish it could've been more apparent what your future/goals was and that the road was done, but I like the actual piece.
ReplyDeleteI really like this piece and how simple and clean it is as a whole. Also, the time and dedication to stick each piece of yarn onto the paper one by one is like amazing to me. You for sure have true penmanship.
